On the job training to begin Spring of 2020 with current Executive Assistant
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Perform efficiently all secretarial responsibilities in a courteous, cooperative and tactful manner
- Perform secretarial and quasi-administrative duties related to the Superintendent and Governing Board
- Make decisions in accordance with District policies, procedures and programs using independent judgment
- Write and transcribe confidential dictation
- Prepare correspondence and reports
- Maintain general files
- Maintain complete and accurate records
- Assist in managing an appointment and monthly calendar and make arrangements for meetings
- Assist in maintaining policy manual
- Assist with District Assessment program ordering, distribution and packaging
- School District newsletter editor
- Prepare all board meeting agendas and meeting minutes
- Attend Governing Board meetings
- Maintain schedule/calendar for FHUSD Learning Center and District office conference room
- Perform additional duties efficiently and willingly, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience
Required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to cooperatively and tactfully deal with the public, Board members, administrators, and staff
- Independent judgment and knowledge of District policies, procedures, programs and organizational structure
- Knowledge of approved office procedures
- Knowledge of how to operate standard office machines
- Good command of business English
- Ability to write letters, prepare reports, and documentary material using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation, with brief oral instruction
- Microsoft Office and Google Docs
