ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Operate vehicles safely and transport students to and from school, on field trips, and other events as scheduled
- Administer first aid if required
- Check daily, and maintain the assigned bus for safe operation, cleanliness, and fill out daily Safety Inspection Sheet and monthly operating record
- Check your assigned bus, review the bus routes, and become familiar with routes, policy revisions, and State regulations prior to the first day of school
- Interact with students in positive and appropriate manner
- Report in writing malfunction of bus to supervisor immediately
- Supervise the conduct of students and maintain discipline
- Enforce all District rules and regulations following the Assertive Discipline Plan for buses
- Report, through timely written reports, any student misconduct
- Enforce regulations against drug/alcohol possession/usage on the bus
- Discharge students only at authorized stops
- Maintain safe, accident/violation free driving record
- Report all accidents and complete required reports
- Report any moving violation of any vehicle to immediate supervisor within 48 hours
- Attend organizational meetings, as scheduled
- Perform additional duties efficiently and willingly, as assigned

Education, Certifications, Licensing and/or Experience
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate
- Valid first aid and CPR cards
- Valid Commercial Driver’s license
Preferred:
- Experience in driving large vehicles or school buses
