ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES shall include, but not be limited to the following: 

• Supervise students at playground and maintain a harmonious atmosphere on the playground.
• Direct movement of groups to and from playground.
• Make sure that all students are in their assigned areas at all times.
• Enforce school-wide Discipline Program.
• Enforce detention rules. Maintain timely records on students serving detention on a daily basis.
• Supervise students and maintain a harmonious atmosphere in the cafeteria.
• Organize students into orderly lines for purchasing food, and see that they seat themselves in an orderly fashion.
• Help students develop and observe proper dining habits, both in terms of etiquette and nutrition.
• Assist younger students with use of utensils when needed.
• Organize students for orderly disposal of food waste, trays, and utensils.
• Ensure orderly dismissal from the lunchroom.
• Circulate among the tables during the lunch periods so as to be available to help children who need help and to resolve any minor problems that arise.
• Interact effectively with students in order to enhance the positive climate of the lunchroom.
• General clerical duties including copying assignments for teachers
• Perform additional duties efficiently and willingly, as assigned.
